Neu_Januar

Remember last month when I got all the books? 😀 Compared to December my January book haul is rather boring because I got only five new books at all – and more than half of them are even review copies. I got a lot of the most attractive books on my wishlist for Christmas and since there weren’t a lot of new January releases that interested me I ended up with only one pre-order and a new audiobook. If I keep being that disciplined when it comes to buying books then 2016 might become a very good year for my TBR pile – but with all the amazing upcoming February releases like „Morning Star“, „Calamity“ or „The Hunt“ I guess there will be much more action on my shelves next month 😉

The review copies I got last month were „Schmutziger Schnee“ by Christoffer Carlsson (the second book in the Leo Junker series), the new short story collection „Basar der bösen Träume“ („The Bazaar of Bad Dreams“) by Stephen King and „Six Four“ by Hideo Yokoyama which I’m very excited about because it comes with the praise of being the „Japanese crime sensation“ and I hope it can live up to the hype.

„City of Blades“ by Robert Jackson Bennett is a title I had pre-ordered for several months and I can’t wait to read it because I liked „City of Stairs“ a lot and hope that the second book is at least just as good as the first one. I need more violent Sigrud moments! 😀

The only audiobook I got last month was the new Arno Strobel thriller „Die Flut“ which comes with a very interesting murder method because the killer buries his victims at the beach and lets them get drowned by the upcoming flood. Sounds like fun 😀

Which books did you get in January?
Have you read any of the mentioned books already?
