I’m a bit late with my picture for Bookish Scene: Project 52 this week but here it is! I don’t own a lot of books that would fit into the „humour“ category but „Grasshopper Jungle“ by Andrew Smith made me laugh A LOT. Definitely one of the weirdest books I’ve ever read! 😀

Imagine a book with a teenage boy who is horny all the time but can’t decide if he rather wants to be together with his girlfriend or his gay best friend and with giant mantises who do nothing but eating humans and f**king each other and you will have a pretty good idea of what’s going on in this novel. And if this doesn’t sound like fun then I don’t no what does, so if you’re looking for a book that’s hilarious in a very very VERY weird way you should definitely give „Grasshopper Jungle“ a try! Just be prepared for a lot of horniness. And also sperm xD

  • Hahaha, your description of this book is still my favorite. xD And the picture is so delightfully green. *___* Are those actually real flowers?

    • I think it’s a pretty accurate description ;P

Of course they’re not, all the real flowers I own are at least half-dead and definitely not photo material XD
