As someone who is extremely lazy and a master of procrastination I found this week’s Bookish Scene: Project 52 theme Aspirations very challenging and it took me quite a while to come up with an idea 😀
I’m not super ambitious when it comes to my professional career but love to be competitive at sports, so I decided to take a picture that represents this side of myself. For the past 4 years I’ve been running our local half-marathon every May and even though I’m always having a hard time bringing myself to train for it the idea of crossing the finish line and getting the medal is still quite a good motivation for me and it always feels great once I’ve achieved my goal.
I didn’t have to spend a long time deciding on a book for this picture because if you take a picture about running and have a book that screams „RUN“ in big fat red letters from the book cover then the choice is quite obvious, right? ;D
BookishScene: Project 52 is a bookish Instagram challenge hosted by Joséphine (@wordrevel) and Georgie (@whatgeorgiedid), Further information can be found on both their blogs where you can also see a preview of the upcoming themes.
If running a half-marathon every year is your definition of lazy, I don’t know what that makes the rest of us. xD
I’m not really sure why I’m commenting on this post, since you’re SITTING RIGHT NEXT TO ME, but I guess it’s just habit. 😛
Is this book worth reading?
Slackers 😛
I’m not really sure why I’m writing this reply since you’re SITTING RIGHT NEXT TO ME but it’s just too much fun xD
I think I enjoyed the book when I read it 2 (?) years ago. It was a bit like a YA version of Dexter with a female protagonist and got quite violent towards the end, which always helps 😀
