This week’s Bookish Scene: Project 52 theme is „April Showers“ and the timing couldn’t have been any better because a) well, it’s obviously April and b) it was raining EVERY DAY this week. So finding the right setting was pretty easy but it was a little tricky to catch the raindrops with my phone camera without going outside and risking getting my books wet (what a nightmare :O).

I also had some difficulties finding a fitting book for this theme but eventually managed to find at least a water-related title with Rick Yancey’s The Infinite Sea (which btw I’m going to re-read next month since the last book in this trilogy will finally come out in May! \o/)
BookishScene: Project 52 is a bookish Instagram challenge hosted by Joséphine (@wordrevel) and Georgie (@whatgeorgiedid), Further information can be found on both their blogs where you can also see a preview of the upcoming themes.

  • That was quick! (And now I’m going to be creepy and comment 5 seconds after you posted it. ;P)

I liked „The 5th Wave“ a lot more than I did „The Infinite Sea,“ but I’m hoping that changes. I remember almost nothing from the books, so it will practically be like reading them for the first time. xD

    • Hahaha, when I was seeing the comment notification just 2 minutes after publishing the post I was actually asking myself if you’ve been sitting in front of your pc and waiting for it to go online, you creep ;P

I think I liked „The Infinite Sea“ a bit better because of that plot twist which really blew my mind 😀 And thanks to watching the movie I remember quite a lot again ;P

      • Yeah, I was definitely sitting here refreshing your blog, waiting for the post to go live. xD (You already think I’m a creep, and I’d hate to disappoint you. LIKE YOU DISAPPOINTED ME WITH THE LACK OF MURDER IN THIS PHOTO.)

There was a plot twist? I guess I get to be surprised again! Lol.

  • I’m so excited to finally read this trilogy this month! \o/ I wanted to read them way earlier but then they pushed back the release of the third book so I figured I’ll just read them all back to back. I’ve no idea if I’ll even like the trilogy and as it’s going to be my first ever by Rick Yancey, I’m also somewhat nervous.

    • Wheee, I hope you end up liking the trilogy!

And since you haven’t read any Yancey books before, let me take this opportunity to also push his Monstrumologist series on you which is at least just as good but a bit more morbid and violent ;D
