TTT

Somehow I doubt that I’m going to read a lot of books this fall because especially October will be pretty busy for me but since my TBR keeps exploding lately and there are SO FREAKING MANY books on it that I’m dying to read I will however try to read as many of them as possible – let’s see how that goes 😀

TTT_Fall_TBR_List

Inferno – Dan Brown
The movie version of the 4th Robert Langdon novel is coming out in October and to prepare myself for it I’ve already been re-reading the first three books in this series in the past weeks and going to start „Inferno“ soon – not my favorite Robert Langdon story but still better than book 3.

The Calling of the Grave – Simon Beckett
I was surprised by the news that there’s a new David Hunter thriller coming out in October and have to admit that I still haven’t read the 4th book in this series – shame on me –, so I’m going to change that soonish.

Carter & Lovecraft – Jonathan L. Howard
I really can’t say that I’m a Lovecraft expert but a detective thriller with supernatural creatures that apparently also somehow involves a bookstore sounded too much fun to resist, so I’m pretty excited for it – especially since the television rights have already been acquired by Warner Bros.

Time Salvager – Wesley Chu
I’ve been wanting to read this for almost a year now and since it’s going to be Sci-Fi month in November it seems like a good occasion to finally start this. I’ve always been a fan of time travel stories so my expectations are quite high.

Gemina – Amie Kaufman, Jay Kristoff
„Illuminae“ has been my favorite new release in 2015 so that I’m obviously pretty excited for the sequel. I’ve already heard some mixed things about it from early reviews so that I’m trying to not let my expectations get too high but I’ve had it pre-ordered for months and I’m really looking forward to it

End of Watch – Stephen King
I’m a huge fan of Stephen King’s horror stories but I’ve discovered that I love it even more when he writes old-school crime fiction as in the Bill Hodges series. I’ve enjoyed the first two books of the trilogy A LOT so that I really hope that this great story gets the ending it deserves.

The Force Awakens – Alan Dean Foster
I’m usually not very excited about movie novelizations because they often only get written to make even more money but then I found out about the audiobook version of „The Force Awakens“ that is narrated by the German voice of John Boyega a.k.a. Finn so that I couldn’t resist. And hey, it’s STAR WARS, so what can go wrong?^^

A Fever of the Blood – Oscar de Muriel
Oscar de Muriels first historical crime novel „The Strings of Murder“ did not only have a super pretty cover but also a great and entertaining story – now the sequel „A Fever of the Blood“ is even prettier, so maybe the story gets even better, too? 😀 Also I can’t wait to hear more bickering from the snarky detective duo 😀

A Madness So Discreet – Mindy McGinnis
This book was supposed to be one of my Halloween reads in 2015 but unfortunately I didn’t find the time to read it, so I hope it’ll work out better this year.

Das Netz – Fredrik T. Olsson
I’ve really enjoyed Olsson’s science fiction thriller „Der Code“ which was even worth a re-read for me and now I’m pretty excited for the sequel which is apparently a prequel – I’m still a bit confused about the correct order of the books but really looking forward to it!

Which books are you planning to read this fall?

  • This is a great list!

I haven’t read any of these books yet, but „A Madness so Discreet“ looks right up my alley. 🙂

  • I really need to get caught up on Dan Brown’s books. I’ve loved all of them that I’ve read. I hope you get to read lots this Autumn!

  • I really need to read Illuminae soon! It’s been on my TBR for a while and now with Gemina coming out it’s definitely a must 🙂
A Madness So Discreet seems like a perfect Halloween read!

  • What a coincidence, my list is identical to yours. ;P

I really hope my library orders Gemina soon so I can put it on hold, haha. I’m cautiously excited for it, but that’s how I went in to the first book. I hope we like it! I think I’m most excited for End of Watch and most nervous about you reading Time Salvager. xD

  • Amazing selection of books. I hope you love them!

  • Geminia would have definitely been on my list as well if i’d thought some more about it!

  • I’m so looking forward to the movie of Inferno, but I haven’t read that one’s book or The Lost Symbol yet! A second hand bookshop in my town always has copies of Dan Brown books though, so I’ll definitely pick them up and read them before I see the film. The books might not be top literature, but they’re so much fun, and I love Tom Hanks too much to not watch the film.

  • I hope you enjoy A Madness So Discreet! 🙂
    Check out my TTT.

  • You HAVE TO read A Madness So Discreet! It was so unique and emotional, with some huge surprises along the way. I can’t wait for Gemina, Illuminae was nothing like any book I’ve ever read & I’m hoping Gemina will live up to it.
    Great list! 🙂

  • *hides in a corner because doesn’t know many of these books. Or maybe I do know them, but I just haven’t read them*

Except Gemina, which I will also be reading soon! I am very excited about it, and I’m really hoping that I do have enough time this month to get to all the books I want to get to, but I highly doubt it haha. Is A Madness So Discreet a good „Halloween-themed“ book? Should I read that during then too? Yes?

  • I’ve been hearing some good things about Time Salvager and have seen it appear on various blogs. Interesting cover in any case. I still haven’t read a single Robert Langdon book. Shame on me, haha. Great list! I hope you enjoy them all.
